Fast Relief. Clear Guidance. Peace of Mind.

At Wow Orthodontics, we understand that orthodontic emergencies can feel stressful — especially when they happen unexpectedly. The good news is that most orthodontic issues are not true medical emergencies and can be managed quickly and comfortably. If you ever have a concern — whether you are our current patient, visiting from out of town, or simply need a new retainer years after braces — just call us.

Our priority is simple: relieve discomfort, protect your progress, and get you back on track as soon as possible.

What Is an Orthodontic Emergency?

Most orthodontic emergencies fall into two categories:

Discomfort or Irritation
Soreness after adjustments
Poking wires
Irritated cheeks or lips
Mild pressure from aligners

These are common and usually temporary.

Appliance Problems
Broken brackets
Loose bands
Bent or protruding wires
Lost aligners
Broken, cracked, or lost retainers

While uncomfortable, these situations are rarely dangerous — but they should be addressed promptly to avoid treatment delays or unwanted tooth movement.

Visiting From Out of Town? We're Happy to Help.

Orthodontic emergencies don't always happen at convenient times.

Whether you are:

  • Visiting from out of town
  • Away at college
  • Traveling for work
  • Or your retainer broke and you cannot access your original orthodontist

We welcome everyone. You do not have to be an existing patient to receive care.

Just call us — we are happy to assist, stabilize your appliance, replace a retainer, or provide guidance to keep your treatment on track.

Repairing & Replacing Old Retainers

You might be surprised how many patients come to us years — sometimes even decades — after finishing braces because their retainer broke, no longer fits, or was simply lost. We receive many referrals specifically for repairing and replacing retainers for patients who completed orthodontic treatment long ago.

Even if:

  • Your braces were done years ago
  • Your orthodontist has retired or relocated
  • You no longer have access to your records
  • Your retainer cracked, warped, or stopped fitting

We are happy to help.

Teeth can shift at any age, and wearing a properly fitting retainer is essential to maintaining your smile. In many cases, we can fabricate a new custom retainer quickly and comfortably after a simple evaluation. If minor shifting has already occurred, Dr. Aymach can advise whether a new retainer alone will solve the issue or if limited treatment would be beneficial.

Protecting your smile doesn't expire — and we're here whenever you need us.
